A Red Bicycle on a Pink Wall

Image
This acrylic painting on a 12 x 12 stretched canvas seems to strike a chord with a lot of people. Some see a little taste of the Mediterranean or New Mexico. A friend told me that this make her happy and reminds her of Chile where she lived for a time. Another friend told me it brings to mind a red Schwinn she once owned. All of your comments make me especially happy!  Buy this wall art today! See More Bicycle Art on Fine Art America: bicycle art

Check out my new book!

Image
I am excited to announce the release of my new book,  Carry Your Love to the World , now available on Amazon as a paperback or e-book. Please consider it for your next read!  Click here to check it out on Amazon What began as a song,  Carry Your Love to The World , became a study of the cycles of change centered around four paintings I created depicting the verses of the song. (see below). The book can be used as an individual or group study or simply as a nice browse through paintings, inspirational quotes and stimulating discussions. The paperback edition is most helpful as it provides space for answering questions and jotting notes. But I must say that the e-book is pretty cute, especially with Kindle for iPad where you will enjoy the vivid, colorful paintings!  Chapter I: The River   calling for a deeper gratitude for our beautiful world. Chapter II: Freedom  explores what it means to be free and how we can develop a deeper appreciation for the freedoms...

Happy Birthday to my wife, Joan! Here's a small acrylic entitled "Coneflowers."

Coffee Shop in Estonia

Image
I found a fascinating photo by Sercan Selvi on Unsplash.com. It shows a coffee shop in Vanalinn, Tallin, Estonia. I enjoyed the process of creating this acrylic 11x14 painting with a blue bicycle against a cracking wall.

Wildflower Center Portico

The portico at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, near the entrance, had wonderful vines on the walls which I tried to capture in this 12x12 acrylic painting. Below the painting is the source photo.
