Here's the second framed mirror I worked on. I was privileged to sell this one at the Lutheran Fall Festival in Fredericksburg this past weekend, along with twenty-three other items.
In late December, I painted three small acrylics for my grandchildren: a mason jar filled with flowers for Evelyn, a pink rose for Mathilde, and a red fox for Jude. Six-year-old Mathilde was so impressed by the fox that she decided to copy it on this black sketch pad she got for Christmas. I think her sense of shapes is remarkable. “The Good Father” is an acrylic painting from a photo of my son-in-law, Perry, carrying Mathilde and Evelyn near the end of a long hike down to Barton Creek. I hope it reminds us to spend time with our loved ones out in nature. The Good Father
The portico at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, near the entrance, had wonderful vines on the walls which I tried to capture in this 12x12 acrylic painting. Below the painting is the source photo.
